BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors typically meets on the fourth Thursday of each month. However, meetings may be canceled if there is no business requiring board action.

Meeting agendas are posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act at the following locations:

• Polk County Courthouse
• Onalaska Post Office
• District Administration Office
• This website

Agendas are posted at least 72 hours prior to all regular and special meetings and at least 4 hours prior to emergency meetings.

Each meeting includes an Open Forum during which members of the public are welcome to address the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors are elected by registered property owners in the Fresh Water District. Elections are held in May of each “even” year. i.e. 2018, 2020, 2022. The terms of office are staggered and each candidate is elected for a term of four years.
